If you're in the market for a concealed carry 1911, but still want a Picatinny rail to hang lights and lasers on-- you may want to consider Kimber's Pro TLE/RL II. Kimber's product line can be overwhelming at times, so if you're keeping score: this pistol is part of their Pro Carry II series. The match grade, commander length 4" barrel is up to any mission-- from daily carry to home defense to an action pistol match. The frame and slide are both matte black steel-- giving the pistol an unloaded weight of 36 ounces. The aluminum match-grade trigger is set at Kimber's factory between 4-5 lbs and Meprolight night sights are standard. In other news, Smith & Wesson started 2011 with a bang by lowering the price on their popular Bodyguard line of polymer pistols and revolvers. On Point Firearms has both models in stock at an every day low price, and VIP members can purchase these at dealer wholesale cost.
Another popular item that has just come back into stock is the Umarex's .22lr clone of the Heckler & Koch HK416. These look and feel like the real deal and they're still probably the closest you can get to owning an HK416 without making it through Selection. Plus, they're a hoot to shoot!
