You're looking at a very special pistol: the Colt 100 Year Anniversary 1911. (click here of the full photo gallery) This classic Colt 1911 in .45acp celebrates "100 Years of Service" and features commemorative roll marks, handsome Cocobolo wood grips, and a rich deep blued finish. This prime specimen would be a welcome addition to any collection. And at only $1149, it offers good value-- especially for a Colt limited edition. While talking with the gents at the shop this afternoon, we came to an agreement: even though this 1911 would make a proper safe queen with its special box and papers, it would also make a nice shooter and occasional carry piece. It's really everything you want in a classic 1911-- and like all Colts, it's rich with pedigree. Shame if it spent its life in the back of a safe.
